The objective of the Superstars Football Academy is to create a community and sustainable academy, to promote football amongst children and young, disadvantaged people, develop their talents in the sport, with a far-reaching plans to locate and scout young players and help market their talent at national, regional, and international level, and fulfilment of their individual sporting potentials with extracurricular activities to support their educational needs, and understanding the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the role of young people and their communities achieving these goals.

Breaking down the harmful stereotypes that continue to make women less likely to take up sporting activities, the academy believes in gender equality, looking at setting up a female football team alongside their male counterpart. However, the academy is open to young, disadvantaged girls to partake in other activities of the academy.

The Coach of the Football Academy is well-qualified and registered with the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) The Academy team comprises of children and young people between the ages of 9 -24 years old. The activities of the academy take place twice a week (Fridays and Saturdays) with Classroom based learning: Every Friday is for practical (10am – 12pm) and Saturdays for classroom-based learning (from 10am – 12pm). Also, with a feeding program to sustain these young footballers after training session.
